Methodology.

How the archive is researched

Manager dates, appointments, departures and honours are checked first against Liverpool FC, competition organisers and governing bodies. Where those sources are silent or incomplete, the archive uses established public institutions and reputable contemporary reporting as supporting evidence.

Editorial approach

Every profile is written in original language. It separates verifiable career facts from interpretation, and it describes controversy only when it is relevant to the manager’s work, departure or historical understanding. Unsupported allegations, speculation and copied biographies are excluded.

Source hierarchy

  1. Official club, competition and governing-body records.
  2. National football institutions, museums and archives.
  3. Reputable contemporary reporting for departures and disputed public events.
  4. Reference works only as a discovery aid, never as the sole authority for a substantial claim.

Independence

This site does not cite rival club sites or competing football-history sites. It is an independent project and does not imply affiliation with Liverpool FC.
